Team Information
There are two major league baseball teams in Chicago. The Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs. Both teams are actual members of their respective leagues.
The Chicago Cubs were known in 1876 as Chicago White Stockings. It wasn't until 1894 that they changed its nickname to the Colts. This name would change in 1902 when the Chicago Daily News becomes the first to nickname them the Cubs, because of the amount of young players the team has.
By 1910 this team had won four National League Pennants out of five. However that year they lost four straight games in the World Series against the Philadelphia Athletics.
