Team Information
The L.A. Angeles Angels play in the Western Division of the American League.
Based in Anaheim, California the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are known as the Halos, because of the unusual length of the team's official name. Some refer to the team as the Los Angeles Angels or the Anaheim Angels as well as California Angels.
First used by a franchise in the California League, the origins of the name can be traced all the way back to 1892.
In 2002 when the Angels won their first and only World Series, the MLB playoff point spread wasn't on their side but that didn't stop them on beating the San Francisco Giants.
