Football Ball

With the advent of the college basketball season upon us, the old college basketball rivalries take center stage, and the basketball bet NCAA Division I games are challenges for the betting public.

As the 2007-2008 NCAA Division I college basketball season is upon us, it is time to query our crystal ball in order to see what lies on the horizon in terms of the basketball bet NCAA Division I games this year. There are a few things I have noticed even though the season is only a few weeks old. The first factor is that a few of the top twenty teams have ditched the old philosophy of scheduling a bunch of cupcake opponents early in the season. The NCAA Committee is beginning to take a good hard look at the relative strength of schedule of the teams vying for placement in the 65 team field for March Madness. This is not what has gone on in the past. So, this is a good thing!

Teams such as Memphis, Gonzaga and Southern California have committed to a challenging non-conference schedule. This type of scheduling might impact on their win-loss percentage, but it will definitely be reviewed favorably by the NCAA Committee come March, 2008. The second factor I have observed is that the traditional college basketball rivalries will be more hotly contested than ever, and the college basketball bet NCAA Division I rivalry games will be difficult to predict.

You can throw a blanket over the teams involved in college basketball rivalries such as: Georgetown/Syracuse; Indiana/Ohio State; Kentucky/Louisville; North Carolina/ Duke; Southern Cal/ UCLA and Texas/Oklahoma. These teams are closer than ever in talent, and there appears to be no disparity at all among these fierce foes.

The intense college basketball rivalries will further heat up a much anticipated season on the court and they will make for a very competitive basketball bet NCAA college style campaign.
