College Football Sports Book Smart Money Plays Power Teams
The game of college football had its origins in the Ivy League. The college football sports book contains all the college football games and their odds.
The game of college football has its roots dating back to the turn of the 20th Century. The first college game was an Ivy League contest, Harvard vs. Princeton. The origins of the college game may be traced back to the Ivy League, however, the game picked up momentum quickly in other areas of the country. In New York City, I remember my attraction to the game as a young child was not the larger than life heroes who were playing college football at that time. Sure, there were many stars whom we friends would attempt to emulate while playing whiffle football with Jimmy, “Knucklehead”, Dominick, Mickey, Ronnie and Norman. Stars such as Paul Hornung, Willie Gallimore, Mike Ditka and Daryl Lamonica were among the college heroes who piqued our fancy. While these players were models, there was something else which fueled my interest in the college game of football. It was a weekly college football contest in the New York Daly News. This contest consisted of picking scores for approximately fifteen college games scheduled for the upcoming Saturday. I judiciously filled out my selections every week, and my Dad would attach a three cent stamp to it and mail it by Wednesday. In that envelope were my dreams of winning the contest.
I never won the contest, but the challenge of competing against others in betting on college games whet my appetite for the real thing later in life. The college football sports book is the Bible that I follow every Saturday in the fall of the year. The college football sports book contains all the games and the point spreads that are eligible for sports betting investment on the part of the public. The college football sports book can be played either in sportsbook casino parlors or in the online gambling sites that are frequently found on the Internet. It has been my findings over the years that the highly rated teams will more likely than not cover the point spread when favored by nine points or more in the college football sports book.
