The Arkansas Razorbacks have been around since 1894. Originally called the Arkansas Cardinals the name was changed to the Razorbacks in 1910.

The Razorbacks were part of the Southwest Conference until 1990 when they left to become part of the Southeast Conference, the first team to join the SEC since 1933.
