NFL sports betting season gets underway on Thursday night
Week 14 of NFL sports betting season gets underway on Thursday night with two of the competitions lesser lights grabbing all the attention when the Oakland Raiders (3-9, road 2-4) visit the San Diego Chargers (4-8, home 3-3).
The Chargers have been a disappointing proposition for NFL sports betting enthusiasts this season. The two-time defending AFC West champions have dropped 5 of their last six and now need a miracle to snare a wildcard birth. It wont happen.
The Chargers haven’t been very profitable for NFL sports bettors in their last two games. Many thought they would bounce back to the winners list when they faced the Indianapolis Colts and then the Atlanta Falcons but they lost both home games and the one against the Falcons was heartbreaking for the Chargers who were beaten up on both lines of scrimmage.
Super Bowl betting on the Chargers is a non event this season but there will be plenty of money on them to cover the NFL betting line against the Raiders who have only won the three games this season.
As bad as the Chargers are this season, it is nothing compared to the Raiders who posted their sixth straight loss last week after a botched fake field goal turned three points for Oakland into seven for Kansas City.
Both teams are down on confidence, but only one team still has the ability and there is no doubt the Chargers will be heavily supported by sports bettors betting on NFL football this Thursday.
