Team Information
The Denver Broncos were formed in 1960 as part of the AFL and became part of the NFL after the AFL/NFL merger.
Early on in the franchise the Broncos did not have much success but they have become one of the favorite teams in the NFL on the field and with regards to television ratings and merchandising. They have appeared in the Super Bowl six times. They lost in their first four appearances but they won back to back Super Bowls in 1997 & 1998 with John Elway at quarterback.
