Team Information
The New England Patriots were originally the Boston Patriots. The name was changed in 1971 after the team moved to Foxborough.
The team's logo has changed a few times over the years with the current logo, the silhouette of a Patriot head, being nicknamed the Flying Elvis.
The Pats appeared unsuccessfully in Super Bowls 1986 and 1997 before becoming the second team in NFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years between 2001 and 2004. In 2004, after defeating Miami, New England set the all time winning streak record with 18 consecutive wins. Good reason to check out online football spreads at LinesMaker.
After years of dwindling attendance, improvements by coach Bill Parcell during his tenure led the Patriots to sell out every home game since the 1996 season. This includes preseason games.
